Description

A custom-built Corsair pedal plane in navy blue with a grey cockpit interior, gull-wing configuration and a clear bubble canopy. Markings: “84” in white on both fuselage sides, the tail fin and the gear legs; “U.S. MARINES” on both fuselage sides; star-and-bar roundels on the wings and fuselage; a US flag decal by the cockpit; “Pilot / Crew Chief” below the sill; a “NO PUSH” stencil on the tail; and a Japanese flag decal inside the cockpit sill. Three-blade black propeller with yellow tips on a gold radial engine face. Grey anti-slip walkway patches on the wing roots, four lightening holes in the front bulkhead, and a black control stick with a coiled grip. The instrument panel is a printed black panel with six round gauges and labelled switches, including Nav. Lights, V.H.F. Radio, Land Lights and Landing Gear — a level of detail unique to this build. Black tires on white hubs, plus a tail wheel. As a hand-built piece it has no factory finish to compare against; the surface texture and rivet heads are part of its construction.
